Paris Thomas: The biggest mistake is that people look at it as a planning tool, and so they go into execution mode. And innovation is a mindset. There's a methodology that helps you carry out that mindset, but innovation is a mindset. And so it's the job of the trainer to explain that and prime the audience to be ready for that, because very few people in the world Paris Thomas: have a job of being an innovation manager, innovation director. Most people think, I have a job description that says, here are the jobs to be done, and nowhere in that job description does it say, I need to fail. But innovation comes with that job description. The job description is simple. Get out there and fail as much as possible, as quickly as possible and as cheaply as possible. Tobi: Have you ever put out an offer to the world and found that nobody wanted to buy it? At metaFox we had this experience quite a few times. For example, last year we tried building a training program on creating deeper experiences with our coaching cards, and only a few people were interested in buying it.
